VW T4 Hightop Conversion

This was our own T4 which we planned to convert and rent out, however we just got so busy converting vans for our customers that we never got around to doing it! When we did get around to finally convert it it we decided to sell it on as a new unused conversion which the new owners were thrilled with!

It started off with an old shabby, tired looking interior, so we got to work stripping out the old carpet, hardboard and wool type insulation and replaced this with double sided bubblewrap foil insulation, new ply lining throughout, new carpet in Silver colour and a light blue Altro vinyl floor. We then fitted a 3/4 width rock n roll bed with seat belts and Inca pattern cushions and Van X blackout curtains allround. The cabinets were then constructed using light weight Vohringer wood in Beech colour and space saving tambour doors were fitted which resulted in a campervan with a modern, comfy interior.

Martin’s VW T5 Conversion

We fully soundproofed and insulated this lovely looking T5 before carpeting and fitting a heavy duty Altro vinyl floor. We then fitted a 3/4 width rock n roll bed with seat belts, headrests and memory foam cushions. We then constructed a small platform alongside the bed with storage space underneath, this meant that when the bed was pulled out there was extra space to sleep on. We then fitted a small kitchen pod with Waeco 50 litre fridge, Smev 9222 combi unit, Tambour door and table. This lovely conversion was lit up with 4 bright T5 Style LED lights!

Tom’s Ford Transit

Tom came to us from Somerset with his Semi High Top Ford Transit. Tom likes to travel to North Portugal occasionally to enjoy fishing and shooting. The brief was to transform the interior from a bare van to a van that would be comfortable for sleeping/living in whilst over in Portugal but Tom did not want a full campervan conversion just a simple basic conversion. We started off with the usual insulation, ply lining, carpeting and vinyl floor (in a rather nice wood effect). We then fitted an opening window in privacy tint, installed a full width rock n roll bed with storage cupboards underneath (for his fishing equipment) a storage cupboard above the cab area. We then made a custom seat with space for a Waeco 50 litre compressor fridge to go underneath and a small unit by the side window with space for a water storage container and tap and a removeable sliding rail table. The result was a simple and very usable conversion with ample storage and living space.

Paul’s VW T5 Rear Platform

Surfer Paul came to us with this lovely blue T5. He wanted the interior to be insulated and carpeted out before having a custom made platform installed in the rear behind the folding bench seat. This easily removeable platform allows him to have a full length bed in the rear when the seat is folded forwards and also gives him storage space underneath for his surfboard.

Stephan’s LWB VW T4 returns for a full conversion

Stephan’s van had already visited usfor insulation, soundproofing, carpeting and a stylish set of LED lights. However we just couldn’t keep it away so it returned for a full campervan kit-out.The conversion included full length units down the drivers side with a Smev 9222 combi burner with sink fitted, 240 and 12volt sockets provided by ourselves and a Zig unit and voltmeter with LED lights supplied by the customer. The customer fitted his own custom rock n roll bed and all that was left was for us to make a kick panel with a door for extra storage underneath the bed. The van is now ready for the customer to enjoy camping at the VW shows that he is planning to attend!

Windsurfer Gavin’s VW T5 Watersports Conversion

Keen watersports enthusiast Gavin came to us with his 2010 VW T5 SWB. Gavin is often at the beach as he likes to windsurf, surf and kitesurf and he wanted somewhere to store all of his equipment and have a small area to get changed in and an area to put a mattress down to sleep on when camping at the beach. We insulated and soundproofed and carpeted his whole van, layed a heavy duty waterproof Altro vinyl floor before assembling a metal frame (which was made to the specification of our customer) into the van which we then boarded and carpeted. The result is a van with storage space for watersports equipment with plenty of sleeping space on top and a very happy customer. This conversion was custom made (as all of our conversions are) these frames are made from a steel frame so they are strong and lightweight. They can be galvanised and painted or primed and painted to prevent rust and look good! They can be made to fit in any van and to a customers specific specification. Contact us to discuss your requirements!

Andy’s VW T5 campervan conversion with surfboard storage

Surfer Andy came to us with his VW T5 looking for a full camper conversion but still wanted enough space to carry his surfboards. Before we started with the conversion we fully insulated, soundproofed, ply lined and carpeted the van and lined the floor with heavy duty waterproof Altro vinyl. Next job was to fit a high quality rock n roll bed complete with seat belts. We then built the cabinets. Andy chose to have them built with lightweight Vohringer plywood in Beech finish throughout. The conversion also included a Waeco 50 litre fridge, Zig control unit, Smev combi unit with 2 hobs and sink with 12 volt tap, sliding table, blackout curtains all-round, 12 volt spotlights, 12 volt socket, leisure battery, 240 volt mains hookup with double 240 volt socket and enough space to store his surfboards underneath the rock n roll bed!

Craig’s VW T5 camper conversion with clear load space

Market trader Craig came to me looking for a campervan conversion but still wants enough space to fit his rather large storage box in the rear for when he is at shows. So the brief is to build slimline cabinets down the driver’s side of the van. First stage was to insulate, ply line and carpet the van. This has been done and Craig was very pleased to say the least! The conversion will be taking place in stages so watch this album for more photos as the conversion progresses!

JP’S T5 LWB high-top

College lecturer JP came to us with this lovely spacious VW Transporter T5 LWB High Top requiring a basic campervan conversion. In the bottom of the van we got to work building the kitchen unit, this included an Electrolux fridge and a Smev 2 hob burner with sink and running water. Then we installed a Zig unit along with double plug socket and then two cupboards in the rear.Next was the high top area where JP wanted a bedding area big enough for his two little boys to sleep in when away on their camping holidays. So we built a bedding area at the front and at the rear providing a comfortable and spacious sleeping area. Next job was to finish off the look of the high top area by insulating, ply lining and the covering the ply lining panels to give the sleeping area a more cosy feel to it.

Peter’s Fiat Scudo campervan conversion

Peter travelled all the way down from sunny Essex to see if it was possible to transform his little Fiat Scudo into a mini campervan! It came to us as a bare van so firstly we had to insulate and soundproof the sides, roof, floor and doors before completely ply lining and carpeting the entire inside as well as fitting heavy duty Altro vinyl floor. We then had to design and build a bespoke rock n roll bed before building a couple of cupboards in the rear and a small kitchen unit. The ceiling then had to be lined and have a couple of 240 volt lights fitted as well as a mains hook up and consumer unit. The end result was a cracking little campervan that Peter was extremely happy with. It was even delivered to him right outside his front door all the way in Essex! Now that’s service for you!
